 I have struggled with my weight most of my adult life. I had been
losing weight by going to Weight Watchers and working out at the gym,
and I had lost 25lbs when I reached a plateau. That is when a friend
found the ad for Jaye’s boot camp. I thought she was crazy. I had
been in the army before and the last thing I wanted was someone
screaming at me. But before I knew it we had signed up and also
enlisted two other friends to join. I actually signed up for twice a
week! Jaye’s boot camp turned out to be a wonderful experience. There
was no screaming after all – it was fun and motivational. During those
8 weeks of boot camp, I continued to follow Weight Watchers and worked
out mornings at the gym doing both cardio and weight training. Jaye
inspired me to stick to my plan and I lost 15 pounds during boot camp.
She also helped me realize that my goals are attainable through
patience, perseverance, and persistence. I’m excited about beginning
the next round of boot camp because I know it’s another tool that will
help me reach my ultimate fitness goal.

In early 2003, I felt like I'd gained
a lot of weight in recent years. I had once attended aerobics class regularly, but my hectic work schedule
made it difficult to get to the gym. I was walking only occasionally.
In February, I was engaged to be married in August. I enjoyed exercising,
but needed motivation. I also needed a scheduled appointment to
pull me away from work. I considered working with a trainer. A friend
told me about Jaye.
In April, I started training three days a week with Jaye. I did
not have high expectations and thought loosing a few pounds would
be great. Deep down, I wanted to get back to the weight of my twenties.
I ate a lot of sugary foods, so
I started cutting my sugar intake. Jaye also gave me information
about healthy nutrition. I kept a food journal to identify my typical
calorie intake.With
these changes, along with walking three to four times a week, I
lost five pounds in the first month. By my wedding, I lost fifteen pounds! Jaye also took body fat measurements to record my progress.
I dropped two clothes sizes and gained definition in my arms, legs
and abs.
Working with Jaye has been a very positive experience. She taught
me how to change daily habits for a healthier lifestyle to keep
the weight off. At first, it was hard, but now the good food choices I make are a habit
and exercise is part of my life every week. Jaye was my personal
motivater. She made it fun
for me.

I've never liked to exercise, and
hadn't worked out in five years before attending Spring Boot Camp
2003.
It was challenging, but I could set my own pace. I enjoyed being
outside, and I got into shape fast! Each week, we would try to beat
the number of push ups and sit ups possible in two minutes. On the
first class, I could do only three military push ups, and twenty
five sit ups. When boot camp ended, I had increased my push ups
to twenty, and sit ups to forty one!
Jaye is now my personal trainer. She tailored an exercise plan
to work with my lifestyle and schedule. In just four months, I've
lost 14 pounds of fat and gained four pounds of muscle. I have more
endurance, strength and energy than I thought possible.
If I can do it, anyone can. Boot Camp started me on a path of fitness
and nutrition that I plan to stay on for life. With Jaye's help,
I've become the person I always wanted to be, but never thought
I could be. Fun Fitness has literally changed my life!

I started
training with Jaye, following a weekly food goal and making smart
food choices nine months before my 20 year high school reunion.
At the reunion, hardly anyone recognized me and I got a lot of compliments.
Two guys who had never given me a second glance in high school made
passes at me.

Jaye's Boot Camp was a great experience
for me. Having a buddy makes it fun and much easier to meet a regular
commitment. It's more fun doing anything with a friend, especially
exercising! We told jokes to help pass the time during the drills.
Car pooling also made a big difference. I knew someone was
waiting for me. Sleeping in wasn't an option.
Boot Camp helped me get back on a track of regular exercise.
It was just difficult enough to push me without burning out.
The workouts were challenging and fun. Thanks to the program, I
have been working out on a weekly basis for an
entire year!

I have led an active lifestyle for
years, but never knew just how far I could go. My goal was to learn
what was best for my body and mind for long-term health. I wanted
to look a little sexier, too! Jaye was just what I needed to see
what was possible. I trained at PE Fitness and loved it there. I
learned the importance of pushing myself beyond my comfort zone
and that lifting weights and getting my heart rate up doesn't hurt.

I am a teacher, so the last thing
I want to do after work is go to a noisy gym. I am very self-disciplined
and wanted a program that I can do at home three days a week to
stay in shape. Jaye suggested the "You GO!" program and designed
several workouts for my needs, especially my hips and thighs. This
program taught me the fundamentals of weight training, proper form
and technique, and how to increase the weight as I become stronger.

Before I met Jaye I was frustrated
