Thank you for your interest in The Fun Fitness Community Scholarship Program. Please take a moment to read the following FYI. You will learn about the scholarship criteria, as well as the application and selection process. Fun Fitness Inc. will offer community scholarships into all of our fitness programs. You may choose to apply for one program only. We are currently accepting applications for the Fourth Annual Fall Boot Camp at Candler Park beginning in September. There are two main criteria elements involved in applying for a scholarship. 1. Share Your Story. Each of these five community scholarships will be awarded based on individual need. In 400-500 words, and in your own words, we would like you to share your story. Please describe why you would like to receive a scholarship and what it would mean to you. 2. How Will You "Pay It Forward"? Sometimes we need a hand up. That's the purpose of this scholarship endeavor, and we believe, the purpose of "community". In 200 - 300 words, please tell us SPECIFICALLY how you intend to help others in need in your community. You may use your gifts, special talents, volunteerism or other resources. Good deeds should take place by year's end. The important thing is that you share this spirit of giving with others and "pass it on" within one year of receiving your scholarship. So that you have the opportunity to compose and edit at your timetable, you should submit your story and "Pay It Forward" pledge by e-mail or postal mail (Step III of the application process). Once you register online for the program you wish to apply for, you will receive an e-mail with these mail to address. You may then complete Step III. Just like any other participant, you must go through the registration process for the program you wish to participate in. You should familiarize yourself with all FYI items pertaining to the program you have selected. You must agree to follow all Fun Fitness guidelines as a participant of the program. You will need to submit registration information for the program you wish to participate in. You must meet all health criteria in order to be eligable to participate and receive a scholarship. You will be contacted it there are any questions pertaining to your registration information. Please provide contact information for someone who will be willing to answer any questions our scholarship committee may have during the selection process. The following information must be received on or before Friday, September 12: The Fun Fitness Community Scholarship Committee will review applications and choose award recipients. The group of committee members are volunteers who are currently enrolled in Fun Fitness programs. These individuals are committed to helping others. Recipients of scholarship awards will be chosen and contacted on or before Friday, September 12th. Only recipients of scholarships
will be contacted. Scholarship Award Presentation and Welcoming: There will be no formal announcement or recognition of award winners during the boot camp program. The scholarship committee recognizes that, with regard to special public recognition, comfort levels among recipients may vary.
